India has emerged as the biggest renewable energy lab in the world

The green energy consumption has touched its new heights since this April in Tamil Nadu with the duo of solar energy sources and wind energy sources contributing upto 1,500 MW of production. Out of the installed capacity of 900 MW, 700 MW was successfully generated by noontime through solar energy and 800 MW during the evening time through wind energy. A senior Tamil Nadu Enery Board official said, that 900 MW was commissioned before March out of the estimated 1,200 MW. The energy demand has touched the limit of 15,500 MW amongst the farmers and the domestic.
According to the information provided by CEA (Central Electricity Authority), an estimate of 15,400 million units of power has been generated with the help of solar energy since last 3 years of time span, in India. Piyush Goyal, the minister of state for independent charge of power, coal and renewable energy, states that an investment of over 86,000crore Rupees has been done towards renewable energy power projects.
He added that the government is encouraging the solar energy production by facilitating the fiscal and advancement inducements like capital and subsidy for interest, tax-breaks on a period of 10 year earnings, funding solar roof-top systems as a section within home loans. The ministry has brought into panel, the organisations that are interested to contribute to the renewable energy sector as partners of the ministry under the solar energy oriented off-grid programs.
India has emerged as the biggest renewable energy lab in the world: On his official trip to India, Richard Verma, the Ambassador to India from US, made his statement praising India saying - "Today, India has emerged as the biggest renewable energy lab in the world and is at the threshold of dynamic growth in the deployment of smart grid technology and integration of renewable energy projects”.
