Right step with the perfectionist. Bill Gates and a set of companies and investors joined hands to provide clean energy. The price factor shall no more be a concern and cheap energy is the target.  As many as 28 private investors – the think alikes and the IT business veteran Bill Gates as also few other stalwarts including Mark Zuckurberg, in November last, gave the concept a final shape and materialising the idea is destined in 2016. This would be Breakthrough Energy Coalition.

The projected estimate is $2 billion. 

This has been done at the time when the US government and about 19 other nations have declared to gear up (to increase by 100% by next 5 years) the R&D on the clean energy issues. The countries include the US, China, India and Brazil with others.

The consortium would, with all energies combined, give a definite boost to the renewable energy production efforts as well as to reduce the carbon emissions which actually is a global concern and these countries are few who contribute towards it.

The fund would emanate from private sector though, the research inputs would flow out of the US government’s R&D – that is the defined alliance, leading to commercialization of technologies.
